Members of the Deadwood Business Club, Inc.
would like to take this opportunity to welcome you! The
purpose of our organization is to promote retail business
events; improve local business conditions; network &
exchange information among members; support community
events, cultural & heritage tourism; mentor new businesses;
support the expansion or diversification of small business
The history of the Deadwood Business
Club dates back to February 8, 1881 when the group’s object
was to promote and encourage the business and commercial
interests of the town of Deadwood. In a short speech by new
member Seth Bullock, he stated that the first thing they
should turn their attention to are the highways leading into
town. They were all toll roads and these should be
supplanted with free wagon roads. Sometimes the more things
change the more they stay the same and free roads and free
parking is still an issue today……..
The clubmeets the
second Tuesday of every month at various membership
businesses. We invite you to attend a meeting as a visitor
anytime. The annual dues are $100 and include an ad in our
annual publication Deadwood Retail Times. Check out the
forms link to print application for membership.
